Dazzledot Dalmatians are bred for temerament & quality. Our pups are all house dogs & live indoors, going outside during the day after 4 weeks, so they get used to all the household noises. They are part of our family & are very friendly & affectionate. It is important to us that all our puppies are prepared to be loving happy additions to their new families.
Although we do not have any young children in the house, we enlist friends, family & neighbourhood children of all ages to help socialize our puppies from four weeks on. Puppies are also socalised with our cats to help in the intensive socialization process, which is vital for their development, so that each pup can reach their full potential. At the same time, we begin letting them climb small obstacles, explore different areas of the house & negotiate steps.
Companion pups are generally ready to go to new homes at 8 weeks of age, although we sometimes keep them a bit longer if we are trying to decide whether they should go as companions or possibly show potential. Show potentials, if any, are sold at show price. We register all puppies that go to pet homes on the limited register & only puppies which are going to proven show homes, or we are keeping ourselves, are registered on the main registers.
Puppies that stay with us past eight weeks begin basic obedience training & get individual playtime with us each day. They practice walking on the lead & take short rides in the car & trailer. They become accustomed to travel & being on the show grounds with all it's strange sights & sounds. At 3 months they are entered in 3-6 months s/stakes &/or baby puppy classes & socialise with the different breeds & older dogs from ringside.
We treat our puppies as individuals & we want to match them with the perfect family. Once your puppy has been chosen we ask you to come & visit, after they are 4 weeks, so they get to know you, & you them. Which in turn makes the coming home process a lot easier & a better experience. If you can't come & visit, expect lots of emails with lots of photos of the things your puppy & it's siblings are up to. If possible have a name in mind, as then we can start calling them by it as soon as possible.
If your pup needs to be shipped to you, we make sure they are safe, secure & handled by us up until the last possible second prior to boarding with a reputable airline. Your new puppy will be spending the first 8 weeks of their life with us, longer if going interstate/overseas. Once your puppy has left our care we want to know about how they've settled in, & any concerns you may have. Our support does not end when the puppies leave us for the new homes. We want to know you & have you know our dallies. We are always available to offer support & advice, if we do not know the answer we will gladly ask other breeder friends of ours.

What do I get with my Puppy??
On leaving us, your puppy will be Bear tested, vaccinated, wormed, & health checked at 6 weeks, & again before you pick them up, whether that be at 8 weeks or older, so you can be sure your getting a healthy puppy. All our buyers get a special puppy pack to take home with them, this includes:

- Food that your pup will need for the rest of the day
- A diet sheet
- Information sheet on care & training
- Vaccination, microchip & worming records
- A copy of your pup's BAER hearing test results taken at 6-7 weeks
- Next dose of worming tablets
- And, of course, your new puppy.

If at any time your circumstances change & you are no longer able to keep your Dazzledot Dalmatian we will happily take them back & re-home them for you. We strongly encourage our puppy buyers to attend some form of basic obedience training including puppy pre-school, with their puppy so that it grows to be a socially well-behaved dog in later life.
